Lady Gaga Shares Her Beauty Secrets

Lady Gaga is opening up about some of her beauty secrets, including some of her own bad beauty habits. While she's known for her outrageous fashions and over-the-top looks, the singer's beauty routine seems surprisingly simplistic (and her bad habits, shockingly normal). More inside...
In the new issue of People magazine, Lady Gaga names her mother, Cynthia Germanotta, and Princess Diana as her "beauty influences." She says that her regular routine involves using Ivory soap to wash her face, though she admits she slacks off when it comes to taking off her makeup before bed, adding that she knows that "is not good for your skin, but I'm blessed with good genes." Women who break out in gargantuan zits if even the tiniest hint of foundation is left on overnight are no doubt envious. Good genes, indeed.

What's Lady Gaga's secret for gorgeous skin? She says sunblock is key, telling People, "I don't like to tan my face because it's bad for wrinkles." With her fair skin, sunblock is certainly a major plus - though perhaps washing that sunblock off each night would be ideal. What's the number one beauty secret from Lady Gaga? "Be yourself." Gaga recommends not trying to be someone else, as "it's boring." Spoken like a true icon.
