Lady Gaga Releases ‘Marry The Night: The Prelude Pathétique’

Lady Gaga has released a sneak peek at her new music video for "Marry The Night." The short clip is a part of the 8-minute prelude to the video, titled "The Prelude Pathétique" and inspired by Beethoven's Sonata Pathétique.

‎"When I look back on my life, it’s not that I don’t want to see things exactly as they happened, it’s just that I prefer to remember them in an artistic way," Gaga says in the video. "And truthfully, the lie of it all is much more honest because I invented it."

The singer is set to unveil the full visual later this month. This will be Gaga's longest video to date, as well as the first she directed entirely by herself. Among other people working on the clip are Darius Khondji (cinematography) and Gideon Ponte (art direction).

"Marry The Night" is the fifth single from Lady Gaga's album Born This Way, which has sold an impressive 8 million copies since its release in May.
