Lady Gaga Tops 16 Million Followers on Twitter

This week Lady Gaga’s Little Monster Twitter following reached 16 million, keeping her in the lead as the most beloved person on the social networking site.

According to Forbes, Gaga has been setting Twitter records since she hit nine million in March (10 million in May, 11 million in June)—each time she adds a new million the bar moves higher for her competition. What’s incredible though, is the speed at which her influence is growing. This latest million followers came in just 3 weeks, according to Twitter-watchers at mediabistro’s All Twitter, beating her previous record of 31 days.By their math,“Gaga should reach 16 million followers by November 27, and 20 million between March and April 2012.” but, now reached on November 18.

This year Gaga appeared as No. 1 on the annual Forbes Celebrity 100 and No. 11 Most Powerful Women In the World. But those aren’t the only important numbers.
