Lady Gaga Reveals More Details About 'Applause' and ARTPOP

Lady Gaga held an impromptu Q&A for fans on Twitter earlier today where she revealed key details about her upcoming single, "Applause," and the new app for her album ARTPOP. She also let the cat out of the bag by releasing a chunk of lyrics (presumably the chorus) to her future single.

"Give me that thing that I love/Put your hands up/Make ‘em touch/A-P-P-L-A-U-S-E"

When fans asked for clarification on what the app entails, and how to ensure that they snag themselves a copy, Gaga was quick to answer all their questions and concerns. "The APP is in essence, an interactive jewel case," she explained.

"The ARTPOP app is Free, available in App Stores on your device. You can purchase the music through the ARTPOP app once it's downloaded." "Or you can purchase the album at the music store+download the free app separately at the app store," she added.

The 27-year-old also hyped up fans around the world by announcing, "the single "Applause" and it's MUSIC VIDEO will BOTH debut on same day. ARTPOP 8/19".  If you're a die hard Little Monster, you've most likely already started a countdown to the August date—only a few short weeks left until "Applause" hits the airwaves!

Gaga wrote "Applause" with DJ White Shadow, someone she's collaborated with for 5 years now.
